01 · STEAM
Steam + scrape gum removal
The standard workhorse for most jobs — concrete sidewalks, store entrances, parking aprons, food-court edges.
Best on durable, paved surfaces with high foot traffic.
Pricing
Steam + scrape gum removal at $0.95/sq ft, freeze + scrape at $1.35/sq ft, hot/cold pressure washing at $0.22/sq ft (Basic) or $0.35/sq ft (Heavy-Duty), and a $175 minimum job fee. Recurring contract agreements get 15% off — monthly or quarterly cadence. Rates are sized to the surface and the method, not the hour.
The five rates
Rates are market-aware and matched per method, not per hour. Pick the surface, pick the method, and the estimator matches the on-site walk — no rounding, no surprise multipliers.

02 · FREEZE
Premium for delicate or sensitive substrates — pavers, tile grout, painted and historic surfaces.
Worth the premium when heat or pressure would damage the surface.

Light dirt and grime, general cleaning — sidewalks, driveways, paved flatwork without heavy staining or buildup.
Scoped to concrete, brick, tile, pavers, and asphalt.
04 · PW HEAVY
Heavy staining, oil, and buildup — grease spots near dumpster pads, oil-stained aprons, and storefront flatwork with long-standing grime.
Scoped to concrete, brick, tile, pavers, and asphalt.

Per-piece billing counts gum spots lifted on concrete. Per-sq-ft rates apply to paved flatwork — the on-site walk locks the actual scope and the line items.
Recurring contract
A standing cadence locks the 15% discount across the same scope, every cycle. The on-site walk still anchors the line items — but the math is fixed for the term.
Why these rates
Generic cleaners quote by the hour and round up at the end. ChewAway prices by line item, method, and surface — so the number you see on the quote is the number you see in the email.
Steam, freeze, and pressure each carry their own per-sq-ft and per-piece rates — so the surface and the method decide the price. Nothing is folded into an unfamiliar multiplier.
A cryogenic freeze rig costs more than a steam rig, and the premium is on the line — not buried in a flat hourly rate. The rate matches the work.
Sometimes the job is 12 spots on a 200-sq-ft pad. Per-piece billing captures that without forcing the customer to under- or over-report scope.
Rates are scoped to paved ground surfaces and the gum-removal methods above. Vertical building washes (siding, awnings, dumpster pads), high-rise exteriors, and hazardous cleaning are out of scope.
